1. What we collect
Information you provide
- Property address / park name you enter to run an analysis. Used to look up public records for that property; not linked to your identity unless you also submit your email.
- Email address, if you submit it through the email-capture box. Used to send you the report link or product updates you asked for; we do not sell it.
- Payment information, only for a paid product, handled entirely by our payment processor — we do not receive or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Session identifier — a random id stored in your browser's session storage (not a cookie), used to group the events below and to record Terms acceptance. It clears when you close the tab.
- Product usage events — structural facts only (e.g., which stage of an analysis ran, whether a report scored, page views), never an address, name or anything else identifying a person. These are logged by our own server; as of this policy's effective date no third-party analytics or advertising vendor is used.
- IP address — hashed (not stored in raw form) and used only to rate-limit abuse of the email-capture form and to timestamp Terms acceptance.
- Terms of Use acceptance record — the Terms version, timestamp, session identifier and the page it happened on, kept as evidence of what you agreed to and when.
2. What we do not currently do
As of this policy's effective date, MHP Compass has no user accounts or passwords, does not use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising, and does not run a third-party analytics or ad pixel. If any of that changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.
3. Why we collect it
- To run the analysis you requested and show you the report;
- To send a report link or reply to an email you provided;
- To operate, secure and improve the Service, including diagnosing errors and preventing abuse;
- To keep the record required by Section 2 of the Terms of Use (proof of Terms acceptance); and
- To process payment for a paid product, through our payment processor.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the Service itself (for example, hosting and, once enabled, payment processing), and where required by law.
5. Retention
Analysis input (address/park name) and report content are kept only as long as needed to serve the report, currently a matter of hours unless you request longer retention. Email addresses, Terms-acceptance records and usage-event logs are kept indefinitely for recordkeeping and product-improvement purposes unless you ask us to delete them.
6. Your choices
To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email dave@mhpcompass.com. We will need enough information (such as the email address or approximate date you used the Service) to locate your records. Deleting your data may remove your ability to retrieve a previously generated report link.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect the information we hold, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access controls on our servers and database. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. A material change will update the version and effective date above.
